Ayurveda 101

 Ayurveda - a system of medicine with historical roots in the India subcontinent. The term Ayurveda is derived from the Sanskrit word "ayur"{life} and "veda" {science or knowledge} .

Ayurvedic encourages the use of natural therapies and life style to regain a balance between the body, mind, spirit and the environment.

 Ayurvedic hair care employs both products and treatment strategies that are natural. The Ayurvedic approach to hair care is a holistic method . There are over 200 types of herbs. The most common ones are  Amla, Aritha, Fenugreek, Ashwagandha, Bhringraj, Brahmi, Aloe vera, Henna, Hibiscus, Neem, and Shikaikai, Reetha, Flaxseed and Lavender.

The herbs can be used as a tea, gloss, mask or oil form on hair.
